Cape Stars, through its ‘The Spirit of Friendship’ brands, has partnered trendy power couple, The Kingstons (Zeze and Dorothy), also known as Dozeze.
The two brands will work together through different activities.
Director of Cape Stars, Darlington Ndasauka, said Wednesday during the unveiling of the partnership that the Kingstons have built a solid brand that has energy and, at the same time, created fun, hence working together.
“Our brand, which has in it Cape Stars gin, brandy and vodka, is growing; it has all the fun and friendship and aligns well with the Kingstons, hence this one-year partnership which has more room for extension,” Ndasauka said.
He then announced that they have organised free-of-charge fun activities known as Jam Next Door in various places in Mangochi starting Friday, with the climax at Cape Maclear on Sunday.
Dorothy said, through the partnership, they will push each other and that Cape Stars, fashioned by HS Winehouse Beverages and Hospitality, will strive to export its brands in order to help in solving the issue of forex shortage in the country.
“We are excited as the Kingstons to work with Cape Stars. This partnership will help a lot in enhancing tourism, this being Tourism Month, because we have lined up some activities in Mangochi including Malindi where I come from,” she said.
Dorothy added that the philosophy of Cape Stars, which includes fun and spirit of friendship, resonates well with their brand in the quest to create awareness.
Zeze, who is the sought after artist at the moment with his amapiano vibes, said people in Mangochi should brace for fun as he is set to perform.
With his slogan ‘Tiyeni, Tiyeni’, he said it was time for people to have fun and enjoy his pieces such as ‘Alamu Anu’.
The activities will also be part of hyping up Sand Music Festival, which starts Friday through to Sunday at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi.
